5 cool summer tips for skincare

From mangoes to chilled drinks, summers already knocked our doors. But, hey! Are you worried that the summers are on? Then, we are here to give you some cool tips for skin care that will protect your skin from the harsh rays of sun. It’s the perfect time to get ready to face the scorching Sun.

1. Keep the sun away-

Well, do you want to know how? Sunscreen lotion is a must item for summers. Sun damage is one of the major causes of different skin problems such as premature aging, dullness, dark spots etc. But, while applying sunscreen it is important to know what is the SPF you are using.
  • Always apply the sunscreen 10 minutes prior moving out into the sun. This is because the activities are absorbed into the skin and readily protects you from the UV rays.
  • After applying the SPF, avoid immediate entrance to the kitchen as the heat will not let the skin to absorb the SPF completely.
  • Reapply your sunscreen after every 4 to 6 hours to get more intense result.

2. Have more antioxidants

Free radicals combined with UV are very dangerous for your skin. The only way to protect your skin is to have ample of antioxidants. Though our body automatically generates antioxidants, but sometimes the free radicals outnumbers the produced antioxidants. So, to avoid that, you should consume and apply some rich stuff of antioxidants onto your skin. Some of them are listed below which are also taken as a summer delight.


  • Mangoes
  • Watermelon
  • Carrots
  • Kiwi and other vitamin C rich fruits
  • Oil rich in Vitamin E like almond oil, kiwi seed oil, and grapes seeds oil.

3. Increase usage of toner

Toner works wonderfully for depositing antioxidants and other necessary nutrients in your skin. It also restores the pH balance level of your skin after undergoing a harsh cleansing session. Due to excessive heat, you tend to wash your face couple of times in the summers, so it is recommended to apply the toner twice daily.


4. Water has no other substitute

Water is the best option to keep yourself hydrated during the summers. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated and to keep your skin healthy. Avoid intake of too much sugar content drinks, caffeine, and alcohol as they can dehydrate your body and skin and will give you a dull look.


5. Sunglasses & other Essentials

Sunglasses should do something extra than cutting out the glare. They should be 100% UV protected to save your eyes. A pair without this rating is not up to the standards for purchase. Also, using scarfs and wearing full sleeve cotton clothes can not only save you from UV rays but, can also give an overall fashionable look.
